A 58-year-old man who worked as a massage therapist in Markham and Mississauga has been charged in connection with a sexual assault that took place at a physiotherapy clinic in Markham.

Investigators with York Regional Police say that on May 2 of this year, police officers received information that a person was sexually assaulted during a session with a formerly registered massage therapist at a clinic on New Delhi Dr.

On Tuesday (June 20), police charged Kurian Mathew, 58, with sexual assault. They did not say where he currently lives.

Investigators say Mathew has also provided massage services at clinics in Mississauga and in the private homes of clients as well.
