Married couple walking assaulted with golf club and robbed in Mississauga

Peel Police are looking for a suspect that allegedly robbed and assaulted a married couple, on a Mississauga pathway.
On Saturday (Feb. 11) 2023, at approximately 6:00 p.m., police say the victims were walking in the area of Indian Rd/Birchview Dr when they were ambushed by a man brandishing a golf club.
It is alleged that the suspect jumped out from behind the bushes and stole personal property from the couple and assaulted one of the victims, leaving them with minor injuries.
Police say they are looking for a white man in his early twenties, about six-foot-tall with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a puffy black hooded jacket, black toque and pants.
Officers are actively canvasing the area and are seeking the public’s help in finding the suspect.
