Marriage licensing and more city services moving from Brampton City Hall until 2026

Renovations at city hall will move marriage and business licensing, burial permits and more city services to a new location in Brampton until midway through next year.

The city says the work will kick off on Monday, and they City Clerk’s office will be relocated to the third floor of the West Tower at 41 George St. S.

The renovations are expected to wrap in March 2026.

Renovations are aimed at “enhancing service delivery, accessibility and overall customer experience,” with the the Civil Marriage enclaves updated to better accommodate increased demand.

The redesigned space will include seating and a dedicated ceremony area, with guest capacity increased from eight to 12.

Services will be available only by cashless payment during the renovation period, the city says.

Other upgrades include a service counter with “hearing loop technology” to better support residents who use hearing aids and cochlear implants.

Services moving to the West Tower include:

• Stationary business Licenses.
