More fog and rain today in southern Ontario

Residents throughout southern Ontario can expect mainly cloudy skies with patches of fog and a bit of rainfall, accompanied by warmer temperatures.

Friday’s sunshine provided a pleasant start to the first day of March, yet the evening brought back reminders of winter as the rain settled in with a slight temperature drop—though remaining above freezing.

Yesterday, the region saw a mostly drizzly day with predominately cloudy skies. The evening brought periods of rain and foggy patches, which persisted overnight and into the morning.

Today won’t be much different than last night. It will be mostly cloudy today with a 30 per cent chance of drizzle.

According to Environment Canada, the fog will dissipate by late morning.

The good news is, as the day progresses temperatures will gradually warm up to a high of 9 C.

If you’re considering outdoor activities such as a walk in the park or running errands, it might be a good idea to stay prepared with an umbrella.

Cloudy conditions are expected to continue into the evening with temperatures dropping to a cool 3 C. Overnight fog may also return.

If you’re dreaming of springtime, Monday and Tuesday will kick off on a high note with sunshine returning to the forecast and temperatures soaring above 15 C.
