Southern Ontario is starting March off right with a warm and sunny Friday expected.

After days of cold and storms, the sun will break out in the GTA around 7 a.m, according to Pearson Airport’s sensors. While the morning will start off cool at around -5 degrees, temperatures will rise until they peak at 8 degrees by 3 p.m.

There will be a bit of cloud early in the morning but after 9 a.m. will be totally clear. Winds will remain low throughout the day peaking at 30 km/h between 1 and 4 p.m.

Skies will remain clear until clouds start to move in around 7 p.m. These clouds will bring in a 30 per cent chance of rain on Saturday.

However, temperatures will remain warm over the weekend with Monday predicted to hit 16 degrees.
