A manufacturer in Mississauga has been ordered partially closed by Peel Public Health due to COVID-19 cases.
Pioneer Steel Buildings (1045 Matheson Blvd. E.) has had to curtail production, according to the public health unit’s website. Peel Public Health takes action when five or more people at a workplace test positive for COVID-19 within a period of 14 days. A partial closure may apply to a mass dismissal of a shift or work area.
The company makes preengineered steel buildings that have agricultural, commercial, industrial, residential and recreational applications.
Five workplaces in Mississauga are either partially or fully shut down this week. The City of Mississauga regularly updates the public on closures every Monday.
