Manhunt for ‘dangerous’ suspect has cops in Burlington out in full force

Police are searching for this man.

There is a heavy police presence in downtown Burlington this afternoon (May 10) as cops in cruisers and on foot hunt for a wanted man.

Police have issued a bulletin saying they are looking for 41-year-old Tom Shade and ask the public to call if they spot him.

However, police are warning residents to stay away if they encounter the man.

“Do not approach,” Halton police have said on social media. “He is on foot and should be considered dangerous. Call 911.”

Police say the man could be in the area of New Street and Dynes Road.

Police say Shade is wanted after fleeing while trying to avoid arrest on Friday morning. They say he is facing dangerous driving charges as well as failing to stop after an accident.
