UPDATE: Man, woman found shot dead in vehicle in Brampton; Peel homicide unit to investigate

Homicide detectives with Peel Police are investigating after a man and a woman were found shot dead inside a car in Brampton early Thursday morning (Jan. 20).
According to police, a call was received shortly after 2 a.m. and officers were sent to carry out a premise check in the area of Red Castle and Kershaw streets.
When officers arrived, police say they located a man and woman in a vehicle suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene.
A police spokesperson said the vehicle was parked in a residential area. Reports indicate the bodies were found inside a black sedan which was parked in a residential driveway.
Investigators did not release details on the victims or whether the deceased had a connection to home.
Officers declined to comment on who alerted police to the deaths, or if any gunshots were reported in the area around the time of the bodies were discovered.
Police said residents should expect a heavy police presence in the area as the investigation remains ongoing.
