Police are asking the public to help identify a suspect after two women reported being sexually assaulted by the same man in Mississauga.
The first incident happened on May 12 while a woman in her thirties was walking near Churchill Meadows Boulevard and Quiet Creek Drive, Peel Regional Police say.
That’s when the woman was approached by an unknown male who made a comment toward her before touching her buttocks and fleeing the area on foot.
Then on May 17, police say a suspect again approached a woman in her thirties near Erin Centre Boulevard and Eaglesview Drive, made inappropriate comments and touched her buttocks.
The man fled the scene on foot, and investigators say it is believed to be the same suspect in both assaults.
“Given the similarities of both incidents and the description provided, it is believed that the same suspect is responsible for both incidents.,” Peel police said in a release.
The suspect is described as a South Asian male between the ages of 25 and 35 years old, standing approximately 5’8” to 6’ tall with a thin build, short black hair and a long beard. He was also wearing prescription-style glasses and dark clothing.
No photo of the suspect has been released.
