Man wanted for fraud at Home Depot in Oakville

A man is wanted for allegedly completing a fraudulent return at a hardware store in Oakville and walking away with almost $230.

Halton Regional Police continue to investigate an incident of fraud that happened on June 23 at a Home Depot at 2555 Bristol Circle.

The suspect used an old receipt and processed a return for a DeWalt Pole Saw kit. The pole saw kit’s approximate retail value is $229.00.

The suspect is described as a white male, 30-40 years old, average height with a thin build. He was wearing a black, fullback baseball hat with an orange ‘C’ on the front of it, black sunglasses, a black Guess t-shirt, khaki cargo shorts, and black and white sneakers.

Police ask anyone who recognizes the man to not approach him and immediately contact detectives at [email protected] or 905-825-4777.
