A man has been rushed to a trauma centre in life-threatening condition after the motorcycle he was riding collided with a car on Friday afternoon at Toronto Pearson Airport in Mississauga.
Peel Regional Police said the two vehicles collided in the area of Airport Road and Highway 409, right next to the airport, shortly after 2:30 p.m.
The motorcyclist, described by police as a man in his 30s or 40s, was taken to a local trauma centre with serious injuries considered to be life threatening.
The driver of the car remained at the scene, police said. No mention was made of any injuries that person may have sustained.
Police urge motorists to avoid the area and use alternate routes.
Northbound Airport Road approaching Highway 409 has been closed to traffic for the investigation, police said.
