Man suffered serious injuries after being struck by car on Hamilton mountain: Police

Hamilton Police are investigating after a man sustained serious injuries after being struck by a car on the mountain Sunday night (Nov. 21).

Police said shortly after 7 p.m., emergency services were called to Balfour Drive and Scenic Drive to reports of a collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian.

According to police, a 2013 Chevrolet travelling east on Scenic Drive made a left turn onto Balfour Drive and struck a 22-year-old man who was crossing Balfour on the north side of Scenic.

Paramedics transported the man to the Hamilton General Hospital with serious injuries where he remains.

“Speed and driver impairment were not factors involved in the investigation,” police said in a press release.
