Man struck by GO train near Mississauga station

Faster trains on Milton GO line will help Mississauga commuters

A man was taken to hospital with serious injuries after being struck by a GO train near Clarkson station in Mississauga this morning (Jan. 3).

GO Transit officials said via Twitter that a report was received “of a person struck by a train at Clarkson GO” shortly before noon.

Emergency workers were quickly on site, according to GO officials, and the man was rushed to hospital.

According to reports, the train was moving at a relatively low speed when it struck the man.

GO officials reported more recently that the tracks and station have reopened to the public and regular service has resumed.

Peel Regional Police are investigating the incident.
