Just before midnight last night (February 9), Niagara Police were called to a Niagara Falls commercial-industrial property for a break-and-enter in progress.
As soon as the suspect heard the police coming to the Garner Road and Mcleod Road area building, he bolted on foot towards Emily Boulevard.
Before long, the police, also on foot, caught up to him. When they searched him, they found 10 saw blades and three battery chargers. Bringing in the K9 Unit, the dog lead them to a Dewalt compactor.
Adam Knight, 37, of no fixed address, was charged with trespassing at night, possession of break-in instruments, theft under $5,000 and possession of a firearm, weapon or ammunition.
He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Niagara Regional Police Service at 905-688-4111, ext. 1002200.
