Man stabbed in Mississauga, suspect in custody

A man received serious but non-life-threatening injuries after being stabbed in Mississauga on Wednesday (Oct. 20).
At 4 p.m., Peel Regional Police received a call about an alleged assault in the vicinity of Britannia Road and Ninth Line. The suspect, who was known to the victim, fled but was collared and taken into custody a short time later.
The victim has been taken to a trauma centre.
Investigations of reported crimes of this nature can lead to a police presence in the affected area.
