UPDATE: Durham Regional Police have successfully located the wanted man in Clarington. Authorities say, more information regarding the incident will be released at a later time.

Durham Regional Police are actively searching for a person of interest believed to be linked to a violent incident, resulting in a man sustaining life-threatening injuries.

On Thursday (Dec. 21) police say they were called to a house on Cousins Street in Courtice.

Investigators say they located a man with life-threatening injuries, but have not disclosed specifics regarding the nature of the injuries.

It is unclear whether he has been transported to the hospital for treatment or the current status of his condition.

Authorities have issued a warrant for Anthony Oliveira, 22—of no fixed address— refraining from divulging specific details on the reasons or if there are any charges.

Investigators have shared an image of Oliveira, but details regarding his height, weight and clothing are currently unavailable.

Oliveira is known to be driving a grey Chevy Uplander bearing the license plate number AWD 910.
