Man shot in central Hamilton, street closed

A 23-year-old man was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries after being shot in central Hamilton on Wednesday, police say.
Hamilton Police Service says it is conducting a shooting investigation in the area of Barton Street East and Oak Avenue, in the Lansdale neighbourhood. Oak Avenue has been closed between Barton and Cannon streets amid the investigation.
Multiple reports stated that the gunshot victim’s injuries are life-threatening.
