Man shot at, escapes group trying to get into his car in Oakville parking lot

Halton Regional Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a group of male suspects involved in a shooting in an Oakville underground parking lot overnight on Thursday (Nov. 17).

The incident happened around 4 a.m. in an underground lot in the area of Bishops Gate and Pilgrims Way in Oakville (see attached map of area).

A group of males (undetermined how many) approached a man in his vehicle and tried to get into the car. As the man fled the underground parking lot, several gunshots were fired toward his direction.

The man in the in car was able to get to a place of safety and notify police. There were no physical injuries sustained.

The group of men were able to flee the area in awaiting vehicles (none of which have been identified).

The suspects are described as males, wearing dark clothing and masks.

Investigators are asking that anyone who was in the area at the time and witnessed the incident, or has dash-cam or CCTV footage to contact the 2 District Criminal Investigations Bureau at 905-825-4777, ext. 2216.
