Man lying under train at Oakville Go station causes delays

Trains were delayed Thursday morning at the Oakville GO station after reports of a man lying under a train.

Halton Regional Police say they responded to reports of a male lying under a train at around 9 a.m. this morning.

“It appears as though the male had hopped the fence in efforts to gain access to the train,” Halton Regional Police Media Relations Constable Steve Elms told inhalton news.

Police didn’t know how they man found himself under the train, but report that there were no injuries.

“The male left the area in a taxi,” Elms said.

It is not known yet whether the male was charged by police.
