Man killed in ‘targeted’ Hamilton shooting

A man was shot dead in Hamilton this evening.

Hamilton Police confirmed they are on the scene of a shooting near Sanford Ave. and Acorn St. in Gibson, just north of King St.

On arrival, officers found a 53-year-old man suffering multiple gunshot wounds, police said shortly before 7 p.m. on Mar. 24.

Investigators said they believe this is a targeted attack and there is no further threat to public safety.
