The second workplace accident in Durham Region this week has left one person injured.

Emergency services responded to an industrial accident on Prestonvale Road near Southfield Avenue just before 11 a.m. on Wednesday (Aug. 10).

Scaffolding collapsed while four workers were working on a residential house, the Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development (MLITSD) told inDurham in an email.

One man reportedly has non-life threatening injuries, and possibly three other workers were also injured.

The Ministry of Labour is investigating.

This follows another workplace incident that claimed the lives of two construction workers and injured two others on Monday in Ajax.
