It sounds like a 24-year-old man staying at a Niagara Falls motel got duped by a 27-year-old woman who checked in with him.

Yesterday (December 1) at 8 pm, the Niagara Police responded to an emergency call made from the motel in the Main Street and Allendale Avenue Drive area.

Once there, they discovered that the man had stepped out for a walk and when he came back, the woman wouldn’t let him back into the room. When management got the door open for him, he was soon confronted by a man hiding in the room, who then threatened him at knife-point.

The victim quickly barricaded himself in the bathroom to escape injury and called the police. While in there, the male suspect stole a number of items from the room and the pair took off.

When the police searched the area, they found the couple still in the vicinity. On the male suspect, they found 8.8 grams of fentanyl, 3.4 grams of crystal meth, and 2 Percocets.

Peter Blaker, 36, of Niagara Falls  was charged with uttering threats, robbery and possession of narcotics.

Kayla Wade, 27, of Thorold was charged with robbery.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Niagara Regional Police Service t 905-688-4111 ext. 1002200.
