Man in hospital following targeted shooting in Niagara Falls

Police are searching for the culprit involved in an alleged shooting which took place yesterday in the City of Niagara Falls, that sent one man to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

On (Sept. 30) shortly before 7:30 a.m., Niagara Regional Police officers responded to a shooting on Chippawa Prkwy, between Daly St. and Norton St.

According to investigators, a nearby resident woke up to a 28-year-old man knocking on their door complaining of having been shot.

Police say the victim was transported to an out-of-town trauma centre by Niagara Emergency Medical Service (NEMS) paramedics, where the man is currently in the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Officers believe it was a targeted incident and there is no known threat to public safety.
