Man in his 70s hospitalized after car collision in St. Catharines

In what was earlier described by Niagara Police as a motor collision in St. Catharines this morning (Oct. 3) has now been updated after a man in his 70s was sent to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The incident occurred around 8:10 a.m. this morning at the intersection of Glenridge Ave. and Glen Morris Dr.

Details are still to be released so it remains unknown if the man was a pedestrian or inside a car. Also, the nature of the “motor collision” has not yet been reported.

However, what is known is that the intersection was shut down by the police for investigation after the incident, affecting the traffic around two nearby high schools.
