Man in critical condition following assault at Woodlands Park in Hamilton

Hamilton Police are appealing to the public in helping with an investigation involving a serious assault that took place at a local park which sent one man to the hospital without vital signs.
On Saturday (July 15) shortly before noon, police responded to Woodlands Park located at 501 Barton St. in Hamilton’s East end after receiving information about an assault taking place.
Police say they found a 37-year-old man without vital signs.
The man was transported to a hospital for treatment.
Investigators say the victim underwent emergency surgery and confirmed that the outcome was successful.
The man is currently stable but remains in critical condition.
At this time police are seeking suspects and requesting anyone who may have witnessed this crime to come forward and call police or Crime Stoppers.
Hamilton Police are asking residents, businesses and vehicles with cameras in the area to review their security surveillance footage between 11:30 am and 12:00 pm for any suspicious activity in relation to this assault.
