Mississauga and Brampton residents are being urged by police to keep an eye out for a man convicted of robbery and arson who’s now wanted on a Canada-wide warrant.

OPP say Michael Legere, 38, who they describe as a federal offender, breached a long-term supervision order and is now being hunted by police across the country.

Ontario’s Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (ROPE) squad, comprised of 35 officers from 14 police forces across the province, is asking for the public’s help in finding Legere.

ROPE officers say Legere is known to frequent Mississauga, Brampton, Toronto, Aurora and Newmarket.

He’s currently bound by a supervision order resulting from a jail sentence of nearly two years for robbery and using an imitation firearm while committing an arson.
