Man found in east Hamilton with life-threatening injuries believed to be kidnap victim: Police

Hamilton Police believe they have located Faqir Ali, the 63-year-old man abducted from a Mount Hope residence Thursday morning (Sept. 16).
In a Tweet, police said they located a man suffering from life-threatening injuries near Beach Boulevard in east Hamilton.
The man has been taken to hospital as police are still working to confirm his identity but they believe it to be Ali.
In a press release issued earlier Thursday, police said they were called at approximately 2:55 a.m., to a home in the area of Glancaster and Dickenson Road in Mount Hope.
Upon arrival, police found two men in their 20s suffering from gunshot wounds. Both were transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries where one subsequently succumbed to his injuries.
A third man, Ali, was forcibly taken from the home in his pyjamas in a dark SUV.
Police will be providing an update on the case Thursday morning.
UPDATE: Police are asking anyone who may have dashcam footage or who might have witnessed anything unusual near the lift bridge on Beach Boulevard to contact them.
Motorists are asked to avoid the area around Beach Boulevard as police remain on the scene to investigate.
