Man chokes two employees in violent day-time robbery at Oakville Shoppers Drug Mart

The search is on for a man who robbed an Oakville retail outlet and assaulted two of their employees this past weekend.
The violent day-time robbery took place Sunday afternoon (Jan. 22) around 2:45 p.m. at the Shoppers Drug Mart, located at 351 Cornwall Rd.
Halton Regional Police Cst. Steve Elms told inhalton.com that the male suspect entered the store and forced staff to open a narcotics safe.
The suspect did not wait for the time-delayed to open, but he would end up stealing some medications from the counter.
He would then flee the scene in a grey sedan.
Police say the man “choked” two staff members during the robbery. Emergency Medical Services attended the scene and treated the two employees for minor injuries.

The male suspect is described as being Black and approximately six feet tall.
No weapon was seen during the robbery.
