Man charged with alleged sexual assault at park in Brampton

Protestors arrested after officer assaulted at pro-Palestine demonstration, Brampton man charged

A 44-year-old man has been charged in connection with an alleged sexual assault on a minor, following an incident at a park in Brampton last weekend.

On Saturday (Sept. 9) Peel Regional Police say a 14-year-old girl was walking through Chinguacousy Prk. located at 9050 Bramalea Rd., when she was allegedly followed and sexually assaulted.

On Thursday (Sept. 14) officers located and arrested 44-year-old Davey Anthony Hardware.

Investigators from the Special Victims Unit have charged Hardware with the following criminal offences: sexual assault and sexual interference.

Hardware was held for a bail hearing and appeared at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.
