A parking garage on Ontario St. just north of St. Paul St. in St. Catharines was the site of a wild disturbance on Sunday (Oct. 1) in the early morning hours.
When police arrived at 2:25 a.m., they found a man allegedly fighting and hitting several bystanders. Strongly resisting arrest, the officers needed a Taser to subdue, handcuff, and arrest him.
When investigating the people at the scene, they discovered the man had allegedly exposed his genitalia to a pair of women in the garage. When the women became angry, he assaulted them, according to the police.
When a woman and two men saw the commotion, they tried to intervene but were also attacked. Police said all the sustained injuries were mild.
Even when the Niagara EMS was transporting him to the hospital, police say he then kicked a paramedic. When the hospital cleared him, he was instantly taken to jail in Niagara Falls.
Anthony Joseph Ferracuti, 22, of Etobicoke was charged with six counts of assault, committing an indecent act, and resisting arrest.
He was held in custody by officers for a video bail hearing at the John Sopinka Courthouse in Hamilton on Oct. 1 and released with a future St. Catharines court date on Oct. 30.
Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the investigating officers by calling 905-688-4111, option 3, extension 1024233.
