Peel police’s Special Victims Unit has charged a man following a sexual assault investigation in Brampton.

On Wednesday, June 15, police say a 37 year old Brampton woman attended Brampton Civic Hospital in the area of Bovaird Drive East and Bramalea Road.

“At that time, it was alleged that the victim was sexually assaulted by an employee at the hospital,” said police.

Police have arrested 24 year old Brampton man Nicholas Sahadeo, who is charged with sexual assault.

He will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on a future date.

Police say Sahadeo was an employee at the hospital for 10 months. According to William Osler Health System, he was a contractor who is no longer providing services at any Osler facility.

Osler says it’s cooperating fully with Peel Regional Police as they continue to investigate, saying the hospital staff “take matters of this nature extremely seriously.”

Investigators believe there may be further victims.

Anyone with information or who may have been a victim is asked to contact police at 905-453-2121 ext. 3460, or anonymously contact Peel Crime Stoppers.
