An Ajax man faces charges after his car crashed in a suburban neighbourhood and landed on top of another car.
Durham Regional Police said a man crashed his car on Stannardville Dr in a suburban neighbourhood in northwest Ajax around 9:30 a.m. on Feb. 11
The man lost control of the car and crashed, landing on top of an unoccupied car sitting in a driveway on the street. The man fled the scene on foot as he was out on bail at the time.
However, police tracked him down a short distance away. Officers say they found cocaine and heroin on the man during the arrest. They later learned he was not licensed to drive.
Photographer Kyle Taylor shared footage of the crash taken by the intersection of Stannardville Dr. and Rossland Rd. It shows first responders on scene with a black sedan on top of a silver car.
