A Brampton man has been arrested due to allegations he followed women into public washrooms to film them.
Police say the suspect, 20-year-old Michael Nicolas, worked at a recreation centre near Eastbourne Dr. and Balmoral Dr. The area on the east side of town is home to Eastcliffe Park and its rec centre. However, police did not specify if this is where Nicolas worked.
Investigators claimed there were eight incidents between December and January in which Nicolas followed women into the rec centre washrooms. One woman reported to have seen Nicolas filming her.
Officers raided a home in Brampton on Jan. 30 and arrested Nicolas on eight charges of voyeurism. He has been held in custody until a bail hearing in the Brampton Court of Justice.
“Investigators believe there may be other victims and encourage them to come forward,” police wrote.
