Man arrested and charged in relation to drug investigation in Oakville

The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) has made an arrest and laid several charges in relation to a drug investigation in Oakville.

Police say on July 7, 2021, Dante Colaianni, a 54-year-old from Oakville was arrested.

According to police, he has been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine), possession of a prohibited weapon and possession of contraband tobacco for the purpose of sale. 

Police say a search warrant was executed at a residence in Oakville in relation to this investigation.

As a result, police seized nine ounces of cocaine, $10,100.00 cash, a prohibited knife and 20 cartons of cigarettes (approx. value of $25,000).

Colaianni was released from custody by way of an Undertaking, according to police.
