A man is facing multiple charges following two incidents of road rage on New Year’s Day.

Around 1:40 a.m. on January 1, the suspect was involved in an altercation with a 50 year old Mississauga man on Old Derry Road.

Police say the suspect stopped in front of the victim’s vehicle, exited his vehicle, hit the victim’s mirror, and then returned to his vehicle and drove away.

No damage was caused and the victim was uninjured.

Approximately five minutes later, police say another incident occurred on Old Derry Road involving the same suspect and a 37 year old Toronto man.

Following an argument between both males, the suspect allegedly brandished a black firearm, pointed it at the victim, and struck him in the head with it.

The victim suffered minor injuries.

On Saturday, January 12, police arrested Houmam Zeitouny, a 23 year old man from Mississauga.

Zeitouny is charged with assault with a weapon, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, using an imitation firearm in commission of an offence, and multiple counts of possession.

Zeitouny is scheduled to appear in court on Sunday, January 13.
