Man arrested after loaded firearm found in Mississauga

One person is facing charges after a recent police search in Mississauga.

On Friday (Sept. 24), investigators conducted a search warrant at a residence in the area of Erin Centre and Winston Churchill Blvd.

“As a result, a loaded 9mm Glock firearm, a quantity of Canadian currency, and a quantity of cannabis were located within the residence,” said police.

34 year old Mississauga man Tahir Waqas Qureshi was arrested and is facing multiple charges related to the possession of a firearm.

He was held for a bail hearing and appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on Friday to answer to the charges.
