Man Arrested After Allegedly Firing Shots in Mississauga

A Toronto man is facing charges in connection with a shooting incident in Mississauga.

Peel police say that on Thursday, Oct. 4, 2018, the suspect was at a licensed establishment in the Atlantic Dr. and Enterprise Rd. area when he allegedly fired shots from a firearm.

Officers attended the scene at 1:03 a.m. and located the suspect a short distance away.

Police say he was arrested and allege a Springfield 1911 firearm was located.

Police say 37-year-old Jamey Reid was arrested and charged with a number of firearm-related offenses, including unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and more.

The accused was held for a bail hearing on Oct. 4, 2018.
