Male victim shot dead in Brampton neighbourhood

One person is dead following a shooting in Brampton, INsauga.com has learned.

Peel Regional Police say the shooting happened around 7:10 p.m. in the area of Sandalwood Parkway and Crown Victoria Drive in Brampton. Investigators say one person was shot, and paramedics say a male victim has died. The age of the victim was not disclosed.

Police say the suspect fled the area, and that residents can expect to see a heavy police presence in the area while the investigation is underway.

Investigators have not released any details on the suspect.
