Major traffic delays after car slams into guardrail on busy Mississauga highway

A Friday evening (Sept. 20) collision is resulting in traffic delays in both directions on a busy Mississauga highway.

The crash occurred on the eastbound QEW at Dixie Road around 7 p.m.

No injuries have been reported.

As a result of the collision, a black Audi slammed into the guardrail, causing “heavy damage.”

The left eastbound land and left westbound lane on the QEW are both closed for repairs.

“Closures are expected to remain until midnight,” say Mississauga OPP.

It’s recommended that commuters avoid the area and seek alternative routes.
