Major temporary drop in gas prices coming to Ontario

A major drop in gas prices is coming to Ontario, but it won’t last long.

Circle K announced that its “Fuel Day” event is returning on Thursday.

From 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. local time, customers at Circle K-operated fuel locations will be able to receive a 10-cent per litre discount directly at the pump, the company said.

The discount will apply to all fuel grades, including diesel.

The event also raises money for charity.

“For every fill-up during this special three-hour event, Circle K will proudly donate a portion of the proceeds to vital local charities across Canada,” the release said.

In Ontario, funds will be raised for local children’s hospitals and children’s hospital foundations.

For each fill-up, $1 will be donated, up to a maximum of $50,000, with Circle K Froster Active Kids matching donations up to an additional $50,000, the company said.
