Major roads closed after a hit-and-run of cyclist in Mississauga

Peel Police in Mississauga are on the scene of a collision involving a cyclist Thursday morning (April 7, 2022) that has closed several roads in the area.
According to police, a cyclist was struck by a vehicle in the area of Dixie Road and Rathburn Rd East shortly after 5:30 a.m.
Police say the cyclist was transported to a local hospital with possible life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the vehicle did not remain on scene.
Dixie Road is closed north and southbound from Rathburn Road to the entrance of Rockwood mall.
Police ask to avoid this area.

UPDATE: The driver and vehicle have been located and he is in police custody.
