Major road closures in Mississauga for parade

Malton residents will experience traffic delays in the area beginning this afternoon until the evening, as major roads in Mississauga have been closed off for the annual Khalsa Day Parade.

Peel Regional Police have listed the time along with the roadways that will be impacted during the event:

  • 11:40 am – 1:30 pm— Airport Rd between Derry Rd / Slough Rd
  • 11:34 am – 5:00 pm — Morning Star Dr from Airport Rd to Humberwood Blvd

Due to detours these roads will also affect Goreway Dr along Morning Star Dr.

Police anticipate a high volume of traffic in the area and are advising motorists to expect delays.

There will be shuttle buses available to anyone who wishes to attend the event.

Police say that participants are urged to take shuttle buses or carpool as there will be minimal parking available.

  • Glidden Gurdwara — 9 Carrier Dr, Toronto
  • Regan Gurdwara — 24 Regan Rd, Brampton
  • Dixie Peter Robertson Gurdwara — 13 Guru Nanak St, Brampton
  • Nanaksar Gurdwara — 64 Timberlane Dr, Brampton
  • Jot Prakash Gurdwara —135 Sunpac Blvd, Brampton
  • Humber College — Etobicoke
