Major Road Closures Following Fatality On Highway 410 In Mississauga

Peel Police are investigating a death in Mississauga.

According to police, one person has died in the area of Highway 410 and Derry Road East at around 4 a.m this morning.

Due to the incident, there are major road closures.

Derry Road eastbound and westbound as well as all main arteries southbound to Highway 410 are blocked. 

OPP are also on scene.

The ramp to southbound Highway 410 from eastbound Derry Road is opening up. All other road closures are in effect. 

The SIU has invokied their mandate in relation to this incident.
