Major road closed in Whitby for a crash investigation

A crash has shut down a major road in Whitby this morning.

Thickson Road is closed between Conlin Road and Winchester Road for an ongoing collision investigation, Durham Regional Police said in a post on X today (April 23) just after 8 a.m.

Drivers will not be able to exit from Highway 407 onto Thickson Road, police said.

Police asked drivers to consider alternative routes.
