Major Road Closed for Residential Fire in Mississauga

A road closure has been reported this evening.

Police got a call at 8:51 p.m. for a fire at a residence in the area of Derry Road and Professional Court, east of Airport Road.

Officers and Mississauga Fire are on scene.

Injuries are currently unknown.

Westbound Derry is currently closed at Goreway Drive.

Residents should avoid the area until further notice.

UPDATE: Police report that several neighbouring residences were evacuated as crews continue to extinguish the fire.

No injuries have been reported.
