A major road was closed in Mississauga this morning for a police investigation.
All lanes on Derry Road between Millcreek Drive and Montevideo Road, just east of Winston Churchill Boulevard, were closed just after 3 a.m. this morning (April 22), Peel Regional Police said in a post on X.
There were no further details provided. When contacted, police declined to say more about the incident.
They did say there was no concern for public safety.
It is not yet known when the roadway will reopen. Police asked drivers to use alternative routes.
This story will be updated as more information becomes available.
Update: At 11:35 a.m., police said one man was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The province’s police watchdog, the Special Investigations Unit, is on scene investigating.
