On the heels of Drake’s latest album drop, Sleep Country is celebrating with a free mattress giveaway for those showing up in their best Drake-inspired fur coat.
On Tuesday, May 19, the major Canadian sleep brand’s store at 8 King Street East in Toronto invites shoppers to come in wearing “their boldest fur” for a chance to snag a free mattress.
Fake fur is encouraged, the store says.
The contest is a reference to one of Drake’s newest tracks Slap the City. The music video features the famous Canadian music icon on an ice rink and wearing a massive fur coat with major Canadian brands on it, including Sleep Country, Canadian Tire and Molson Canadian.

“Torontonians have spent the last decade proudly declaring their love for their bed and their momma,” Sleep Country said in a recent release.
“So, when Sleep Country accidentally entered its fashion era overnight, the brand was left with no choice but to reward Toronto’s best ‘6 God’ fits with the best sleep.”
The contest is for Tuesday only at the 8 King Street East location in Toronto.
