Major power outage affecting thousands of Milton customers

Three separate problems have led to power outages in a large section of Milton.
Milton Hydro reports the loss of power is affecting 2,174 customers in the north west quadrant of town.
Specifically, the areas affected are north of Derry Rd., east of Milburough Line, south of the Eramosa-Milton Town Line, and west of Fourth Line.
The lights went out just after 10 a.m. this morning (Dec. 3) and Milton Hydro has yet to determine when the power will be restored.
The cause of the power loss is has yet to be determine, but high winds in the area and downed lines may have cause the problems, according to reports.
