Major new movie theatre and entertainment complex opens soon in Mississauga

A new entertainment centre opening soon in Mississauga will have movies, games, and food all in one spot.
Cineplex Junxion is slated to open sometime next year at Erin Mills Town Centre, featuring state-of-the-art cinemas with comfortable recliners where guests can have food and drinks delivered right to their seats.
The venue will also have an array of arcade and VR games, and will be located on the mall’s upper level.
Dining options include the Food Hall with a wide range of menu choices, an indoor food truck, and a bar offering a selection of of wine and beer.
The open lobby will be used to host events and performances, such as live music, trivia nights, game nights, outdoor screenings, live TV events and more, according to Cineplex.

SCENE members who visit the Junxion will earn points which can be redeemed for movies, food, or game credits.
The new entertainment complex has been in the works for several years, having been announced in November 2019 as a “first-of-its-kind concept that features a movie theatre, dining destination and entertainment complex all in one place.”
“Offering immersive and shared experiences for movie-lovers and entertainment-seekers alike, Junxion will be the complete night out for guests of all ages, including teens, millennials, their friends and families,” Cineplex said in a news release.
A grand opening date hasn’t been confirmed yet, but early reports indicate the venue is aiming to open sometime in 2023.
Cineplex plans to open more Junxion locations across Canada in the coming years.
