Major Mississauga street closed after driver strikes pedestrian

Part of a major Mississauga street is closed after a driver struck a pedestrian on Thursday night (Aug. 12).
At 6:51 p.m., Peel Regional Police were called after a woman in her 30s was hit at Dixie Road and Burnhamthorpe Road East. The southbound side of Dixie has been closed at Rathburn Road.
She has been taken to a trauma centre with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver has remained on the scene.
